Unicode support in system fonts
1 Attachment(s)
Hi there!
I'm going to purchase the Kobo Clara HD. However, most of my books are in Georgian language (Titles, author names) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian_language Before I purchase, could anyone help me testing if Kobo's system font/gui supports the Georgian characters? Any screenshot/photo would be helpful! Here is one of the books for testing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c_p...ew?usp=sharing (also attaching the file) |

I converted the book to epub and put it on my Kobo Forma. I used the code2000 unicode font to take a look at it and then downloaded the BPG Nino Mtavruli Bold font from fonts.ge to test another font. I had to open the book and select a font that displayed kartuli ena (hope that's the right name) characters before the display in the book list showed correctly. I've attached some screen shots, one of the book list and the other two of the book with the two fonts I tested.
Edit:added extra screenshot with BPG Arial from fonts.ge. |

Thats a great help! Thank you so much! |
If you intend to read books only in Georgian, then it makes sense to replace the Kobo system fonts. It's not hard.
