Decreased saturation on image only in ebook-viewer

1 Attachment(s)
For some reason, on this specific eBook I'm having trouble with the cover rendering with decreased saturation in ebook-viewer and ebook-editor's preview pane. I'm not sure why.

The zip file contains:
ePub
the cover (both the original png and the converted jpg)
Two screenshots demonstrating the issue

Any idea what's going on?

most likely color profile issues. make sure the embedded color profile is the standard srgb one. The viewer and editor use the chrome browser for rendering.

I put the original PNG file through http://exif.regex.info/exif.cgi and got this:

Quote:

WARNING: No color-space metadata and no embedded color profile: Windows and Mac web browsers treat colors randomly.
I didn't even know that was possible

Then putting cover.jpg in gave me:

Quote:

WARNING: Embedded color profile: “(unknown embedded color profile)”
good news: I was able to fix the original PNG file!
