How Do You Say It?

This question is so trivial and inconsequential, I hesitated for ages before asking, but I am curious. Ever since I realized that the name was something of a play on words, I've pronounced the name of the library management software as "ka-libre". Does anyone else do this, or is the correct pronunciation homophonic with bullet size and quality measurement?

Thank you both - I assumed the boring conventional pronunciation would be most likely. :)

I usually pronounce it as "The Best eBook Management Program EVER"

Is there a catchy acronym for that?

I've always said ca-li-ber, like gun caliber or high caliber.

Think of Calibre as a French word and you'll pronounce it correctly as in the quote.

Which seems to be how Kovid Goyal pronounces it. As mentioned often enough, calibre is another one of those words where Americans' seem to insist on changing the spelling but not the pronunciation.

I like to get back at the Americans by spelling it "Colourado."

Someone I know who also uses it calls it ca-lee-bray

Given that is offered without charge, I approve of this pronunciation. :)
