Images Pasted in Comments from Web No Longer Visible
1 Attachment(s)
I copy and paste reviews from various online sources (Kirkus, NYT, NYR, Shelf Awareness...) in a book’s comment section.
With Calibre 4.x all images included in these reviews became a grey thumbnail ranging in size from tiny to overwhelming. Any idea if this is fixable or if at least or if there is a way to paste only a text while excluding the images? Or even just batch delete all grey thumbnails? Many thanks, Madeleine |
If you right click and choose "paste and match style" it will paste as plain text which will exclude the images. And you can just delet ethe images by hand, or if you want to do it in bulk use search and replace in the bulk metadata edit dialog.

Yes, thank you.
"Paste and match style" works, but all the links are lost as well. Honestly, I'd rather keep the thumbnails - which I could do if they were small enough as some are - because who knows, in a future version of Calibre images will be visible again. Maybe 10, 15 years from know, who knows? |
Then you will need to edit the HTML manually to fix the image display
