I have thought of adding a "Do all books" option, but, I nearly always just want to update a few known books, or all changes since a particular date. And for all, a CTRL-A first is all that is needed. So I got lazy :)

Of course, pretty much the only time I actually use this function is to test it is still working. I normally just let the driver do the hard work.

Thank you, I've been a bit off and it's good to come here and see that Kobo has included another feature I like (series) and I can remove my series from collections. Thank you!

I was really liking the new Series tab for books, so changed the Kobo plugin for Collections to just include tags (it used to be series, tags). And then discovered that the reader no longer will show your selected series on the home screen with that change.

So I'm still liking the new Series tab, but not as much. I thought it would be nice to clean up Collections where it would just show the genres, but it doesn't work out that way if you still want to see your current Series on the home screen.

I'd rather they changed Collections on the home screen to Series, or even 3 tiles on the 2nd row for Books, Series and Collections.

Or maybe a future patch could do it?

I'm not really a fan of moving the font controls to the top. Anything near the bottom of the screen is easier for me to access while I'm holding the reader.

How often do you need to access the font controls?

@Ripplinger: the 2nd tile on the bottom row is generally "Author" (i.e., "By the same author") on my devices, which is almost as useful (if not more) than "Series" would be :?

(Sidebar: I haven't actually populated the Series stuff yet on my device, and I have absolutely 0 shelves/collections).

Up to now, the right-hand tile on the second line could be either a collection or an author. I don't know the exact rules, but it at least partly to do with how you opened the book, and how many unread are left for the collection/author. I have assumed the series will turn up there, but, I haven't noticed one yet. And I seem to be between series, so they aren't likely to be turning up at the moment.

I've never seen that 2nd tile in the 2nd row be by author. It's only been by Collections only. I don't often select a book by author, but just tried it now and it's still a Collection.

So I guess for now I'll add the series info back into Collections until they hopefully change it. My preference would really be 3 tiles on the 2nd row as I mentioned above, My Books, Collection, Series, but I'd live with just 2 tiles if the 2nd one was Series and not Collection.

On my Libra HSO, I have "Charles Dickens" in that spot with two unread books. "Great Expectations" is showing as my number 2 book in progress (not actually reading it, just used it for testing). My current read is the only book I have by the author.

And I asked Kobo. They didn't add it, but, have added it to the suggestions. Hopefully it will be something simple to add.

I've tried selecting books by author every which way possible, and still I can't get it to show Author rather than Collection. I'm only selecting from my library though and wifi is off... could it possibly be dependent on selecting from within Kobo?

It isn't dependent on WiFi being on. And it doesn't have to be a book from Kobo. On my Libra H2O, my two most recently opened books are one from Kobo which is non-series and the only book by that author. The only collection it is in is a large collection with a lot of unread books. The other is sideloaded, non-series and there are five other books the same author. Two are unread. This book is not in a collection. The author is on the home page.

On my Clara HD, the book from Kobo has synced and is in the first position. The collection it is is what is on the home screen.

As I said, I don't know what the exact rules are. There seems to be a preference for the collection over the author. And I think opening a book from a collection pushes it up in the preferences. Beyond that, I don't know the rules.

I have series info in my calibre data and that was working before the update. I only load a dozen or so books on my Clara and I noticed, after the update, that one book is showing in the series NOVEL and it is number 11 of that series.
I don't have a calibre series called NOVEL so it must be getting it from somewhere else.

I ran Modify epub with remove non dc checked and it removed the series from that book when I reloaded it.

Is there a way for me to identify the other books that show in that series without having to load everything on my Clara?
