same title different author
Hi
is there a way to add books with the same titlle but a different author into calibre with out the duplicates box coming up and then me going through by hand looking for different authors thanks |
What I do is to add books to an Intake library and use the Find Duplicates>Library duplicates to look for duplicates in my Books library. If there is a duplicate (rare for me), I can look at what I have in the Books library via the Calibre Spy plugin.
Apart from that, I do metadata editing, conversions, etc while the book is in the Intake library, when that's done I move it to the Books library. BR |
In addition to using an Intake library
Use the Find Duplicates plugin to check against the other Library. FD has duplicate match rules that can be configured |
ok thanks
i do use the Find Duplicates plugin but was hoping for a better way |

i dont use a separate intake library i just drop my book straight in to my library. i often down load a lot of fanfiction as epubs and drop them straight into calibre and titles like "second chance" ect are so polular they always open up the duplicates box and it means i have to go through a lot of books ticking them
I was just hoping there was a way calibre could be made to recognize a book with the same title but a different author thanks |
