black background, black test
1 Attachment(s)
I converted this epub to azw3 for my kindle paperwhite2. In calibre its a gray background with white/black text.
On my kindle, the gray background is black and all the black text is not visible. How can I fix this? Thanks. |
Use the option in the look & feel section of the conversion dialog to remove colors.

It does in fact change the output but not in a desirable way. Kind of makes the previous page fade, and then the next page is still black on black. |

I'm almost convinced its a problem with kindle or the ebook. The page is an xhtml with a css page. I used the book edit feature to edit the css to change the background color, and on the first page of that xhtml, the color changes. However moving to the next page of the same xhtml file results on the black on black again.

which also means the colors are fine because the first page of that xhtml always displayed correctly. The page has five elements, only one of which is too long to fit on a page and when moving to the next page, its like the absence of the elements causes it to display the black on black.

Remove all references to colours in all of the css, and let the device show black text on white, or the inverse.

I don't really understand css/xhtml but I removed a line
-webkit-box-shadow: inset 0 0 20px #000; from the element for the table in question in the css which fixed the problem. :thanks: everyone for helping. |
