Just got email with this offer.

I bought one last month. It won't connect to my Amazon account and I haven't had time to fuss at Amazon Customer Service about it yet, so I'm sideloading everything. I gave my original Voyage away to one of my sisters, so I'd forgotten how nice it is to read on.

Kind of surprised it won't connect. My email was sent by Amazon so I'd expect zero problems connecting. Still on the fence but I really enjoy my Voyage. Do I really need a backup? Sleep on it.

I had this happen with one unit I bought from Woot. Customer service was able to register it with no problem.

I hope they will still have one available for you in the morning if/when you decide to order.

They had one and I couldn't resist.

Good choice. :) I have 2 as well. Love my oldies and my Voyages.

Received my Voyage 3-21. Looks good but would not register. Called Amazon and who I talked to (CT, USA to South Africa, amazing) was unable to get it registered. She would move problem on to next level and I would be contacted. Not contacted but this AM I restarted the Voyage and it was registered with my home page. So all set and happy with purchase.

How does it look cosmetically?

Thanks.

It looks brand new as advertised. It's fulfilled by Amazon which means it came from them. I suspect it came fast because of that. Woot estimated 3 to 8 business days but it came overnight after told it was shipped.

I also received a Voyage and had to get Customer Service to register it. Currently trying to install the latest software as it doesn't have the same font line up.

I was kindof grumpy at first because the fonts weren't the same, but downloaded the latest software, installed a voila, just like my other 2 Voyages. I'll have to test tomorrow to see if the 3G works or not. I know it's just a teeny bit heavier than the wifi-only units, but that's ok. At one time, having the 3g was important for me, but these days, every where I go there is wifi, so even if I desperately needed to download a book, I could. Just no access to wiki when reading historical novels.

Sadly, I am sending my Voyage back for a refund. The battery kept draining. Indexing wasn't the problem. I am saddened. However, I did pick up a refurbished/open box Voyage at Woot for $89 today. No 3g, but I will live. I never used my Voyages as take-a-long units because of the cost should they be lost or dropped on concrete, but at $89, I'm fine with the risk.

Refund arrived very quickly with no problems. As an FYI, I also found out that 3G is going to be discontinued. Verizon intends to quit supporting it later this year (no word on the date). AT&T will be phasing it out within 3 years. That probably explains why none of the newest Kindles have an option for cell usage.

Huh? Paperwhite 4 (10th gen) has an LTE version. Pricey though ($250).

Those looking to buy the basic Kindle are probably more interested in the cost savings, hence, I can easily understand why there's no $210 LTE version available for that one.

Yes, I saw that - it said that it was an International Version. Probably similar to the situation with the 3G. If you use it in the US, you have to have Amazon reset it for US use.
