The second of the "Elaine" novels, based on silent era movie serials scripted by Reeve and then published as novels. The serials stared Pearl White, the queen of "girls in peril" silent action serials, with Craig Kennedy as rescuer and love interest.
The books, not in the mainstream of Craig Kennedy sequence, are: The Exploits of Elaine The Romance of Elaine (UK title The Triumph of Elaine). This tale involved a new guided torpedo, and the efforts of a foreign power's agents to secure it. Only Elaine, and Craig Kennedy, can foil the plot. Text source: Internet Archive |
