Short (32,000 words) treatise on the role of the Prince (ie ruler), not published until after the author's death. I have endeavoured to give a slightly renaissance flavour to this edition, although I am fairly sure, in the absence of an Italian first edition to check against, that there was no table of contents in 1532.

Gave us the adjective "machiavellian".
