Hello
If I wanted to upgrade my KA1 from 4.10.11655 to 4.11.11982, how should I do it? Do I have to previously install original Forma firmware 11982 (kobo7) and then apply patch?

You must install the koboroot.tgz from the firmware version and then apply patch or apply the patch previously into the koboroot.tgz from the firmware version and then install.

Good luck.

Thanks. But in main procedure, it's included you have download firmware and install it previously, then generate koboroot.tgz with desired patches and apply to the KA1:

...
Copy the original firmware you just downloaded into the kobopatch src folder.

Install the firmware on your kobo BEFORE proceeding with the next steps.

Enable patches in the files in the src folder (or use the overrides in kobopatch.yaml to keep your options separate).
...

Yes, that's right. In both cases you must do the same. But in main procedure you'll reboot twice and in the second one once (while you must update version 4.11.11982 Kooboroot.tgz with patched one).

Good luck.

Forgive my clumsiness, mine is a doubt of concept, I think. In short, what firmware version should I download for patching and apply to my KA1: original Kobo Forma 11982, although it is exclusively for that model?

Download the Forma firmware and take the Koboroot.tgz is inside.
Good luck.
