How many more books can you read before you die?

Unfortunately, my TBR list is longer than even the Super Reader. Better get reading!:bookworm:

Same here :D

That's why I plan on being buried with my Kindles and an electric drop cord ... so that I can continue reading posthumously ...

N.B. Will the touchscreens respond to the touch of a spirit's ethereal finger?

I am good. There are less than 3,000 on my TBR.

My wife says she is burying me with my books. I think she just wants to get rid of them. :D

According to them, a 'Super Reader' does 80 books a year. That takes me 3 months, but my TBR will still outlive me :D

Hmmm.. over the past 7 years I've averaged just over 200 books per year. According to actuarial tables, I have just under 30 years left.

So a good approximation is that I might read another 6,000 books.

Luckily, my TBR pile is only at 1156 at the moment!

According to the article, I have another 28 years left, and as I read about 120 books a year, I will be able to read another 3360 books. I doubt I could maintain that reading speed in later years with gradually deteriorating eyes and brain, but I hope to read 2000+ books at least. My present status of TBR is 944 books, and it will be a fair assumption to add further 1000+ books to it in the next 28 (God willing!) years.

I thought my TBR was huge at 450, but according to their calculations, I can more than double it. Woohoo! :D

What's a book? When's a book a book? I can read a book in one day and I can take weeks to finish one book...

Besides, who says my life won't change: I could win the lottery and read books 18 hours a day! (I do need some sleep). Or I could get fired and need to get two jobs to keep my house so I'll only have 10 minutes a day to read...

Kind of depends if the mythical bus comes by soon (At work, people say to document in case I get hit by a bus).

Curious question: Do people have a Calibre column tagged as "TBR" or use the Read, Unread. markers? Or the TBR is in a different library/folder?

Guess I can do the Read/unread thing as I only have around 650 books in Calibre even if it is a bit of trouble.

I usually read everything as possible; BUT Mobilread is putting a clinker onto my normal reading habits as in the dab blasted "Deals, Bargains, Free" forum have put many holes in my pocket & accelerated the growth rate of my library.

I hope George Martin realises I've only got 17 years left if he wants me to finish ASOIAF.

Since I have no formal TBR list|stack, is it safe for me to assume I'm never going to die?
