Collections on Kobo H20 wiped.
 

I went to transfer 5 books to my Kobo and they didn't transfer into my collections. I have Calibre 2.80 and my Kobo is on 4.3.8842.

I tried to check the library management and moved from Manual to Automatic, thinking that was my problem but now all my books (over 1000) have been removed from their collections. Can someone help me please? It's impossible to have this number of books on my Kobo without collections.

I don't understand why the five new books transferred without the collection in the first place, and now my small issue is a disaster :(

I've managed to fix it. Somehow moving to 2.80 must have removed my plug in shelf customisation.

Now that you've sorted out 4.3.8842, you'll get to have the fun of doing it all over again when you install 4.3.8871. The only thing I know (at present) about the new firmware is that it fixes the stats bug(s).

It's been said that the collections issue may have been fixed. So hopefully you won't have a problem.
