Wilde, Oscar: The Canterville Ghost (Illustrated). v1, 12 Aug 2008
1 Attachment(s)
This is the story of an English ghost and an American family who buy his home.
The text has been checked from three separate sources, and should be free from typos. (A bold claim!) This edition is illustrated by Wallace Goldsmith Originally published in a collection of other shorter works (which is already available here), it has often been published as a stand-alone volume, and has been used as the basis for plays and films. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900), so no copyright problems there. Wallace Goldsmith (1873-1945), so the illustrations are still in copyright in life+70 countries for the next eight years, but not in life+50 countries like Canada. The images are out of copyright in the USA, having been published in a 1906 book. Paul. |
