Recovering Calibre Windows 64 after disk crash
My windows 10 drive failed and nothing is recoverable. I need to recover my original library.
I took the following actions before performing a fresh install of Calibre 64 for Windows: 1. installed Windows 10 on a new drive. 2. Restored my Calibre folder which contains the sub-folders Calibre 64 created to store all of the books I added. 3. Performed a new install of Calibre 64 which created a empty library folder in My Document and additionally created and populated a Calibre folder in the path: C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\calibre. -------- I have a backup of the original folders and files in the Calibre folder from the path C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\calibre\. I am able restore those folders and files over the fresh install if necessary. What are the steps to recover the books from my previous library? Thanks, Richard |
Just use the Switch/Create dialog to add the backup as a new library.
Or alternatively, delete the newly-created empty library and drop the old one in its place. http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....k-files-stored |
