With my second of my six votes, I third Humor.

treadlightly 08-04-2015 09:26 AM

I will third Historical Fiction and nominate Romance and Contemporary.

I'm pretty sure Humour wasn't seconded. If not, I second it.

These won't go anywhere, but having just read Blood Bones and Butter I was reminded of how much I love books with a food theme (not cookbooks). And there is such a growing list to choose from! So, I nominate Food books.

I'd also like to nominate Sports Fiction.

bfisher 08-04-2015 09:48 AM

I'll third science.

JSWolf 08-04-2015 09:50 AM

I nominate non-fiction.
I nominate modern fiction*

* Modern Fiction Definition – What’s the best definition for the modern genre? Books in the modern fiction genre are made up of stories set in modern settings. They have technology and events that are close to or pertain to the current culture of the lives of their main characters in a “today” setting. The modern genre would also include new and struggling social concepts and/or thought processes (such as accepting homosexuals into the military, gay marriage, women’s rights, or abortion).

Second History.

My fault; I didn't see Luffy had nominated Humor first. So you've got that nomination back.

bfisher 08-04-2015 10:05 AM

I'll third history.

Is modern fiction the same as Contemporary?

Partially mine as well because I didn't catch it at first and had humor on the list twice. :o

din155 08-04-2015 10:21 AM

I nominate Short Stories
Also, Short Story Anthologies

WT Sharpe 08-04-2015 10:32 AM

Second Short Story Anthologies.

HomeInMyShoes 08-04-2015 10:37 AM

I'll third Short Story Anthologies. (1 - I'm keeping track of my nominations)

JSWolf 08-04-2015 11:00 AM

Can we make it such that the short story anthologies do not contain any stories that are part of a series?

HomeInMyShoes 08-04-2015 11:05 AM

^That's a reasonable request. Most anthologies from a single author don't usually contain such things, but we could always skip given titles from discussion or spoiler anything involving those.

For me, I'd have a hard time not reading the story in the first place. I am a thorough reader when I start something.
