You're welcome, Tom!

Well someone heard ya GA Russell.

CRussel 03-09-2015 01:56 AM

Wow this is close. Whichever loses, I think it will certainly be a strong candidate for the second-chance month!

crich70 03-09-2015 10:57 PM

It's gonna be close either way.

8 minutes left.

Come on Lost Horizon! :)

JSWolf 03-10-2015 12:05 PM

OK, who screwed up my vote? My vote was meant to make the poll end in a tie.

And no, I wasn't the one.

Very interesting runoff vote here. I hope this bodes well for discussion. This was the book I had originally voted for, but am having a hard time getting (without purchasing it). I might have to see if it is available in paper form from my library, something I haven't done in over 4 years.

Why not "trial" Kindle Unlimited? West with the Night is a KU book, so you can get it (and up to 9 others at the same time).

It's not available via ebook at my libraries either. $12.79 at Kobo seems a bit much for a book first published 73 years ago. At least it is couponable. Now I need a contest!

West with the Night by Beryl Markham is our winner

And I am spared the unhappy task of making enemies of half of you. West with the Night by Beryl Markham is our winner. I've already started reading the other one (Lost Horizon by James Hilton), as I had already pretty much decided to read both selections this month.

How eager are you to be able to use a regular computer once again and give up your iPad for these types of posts? :)

I will probably try to read both as well since they were both interesting to me. Actually all three of the first nominations were interesting and I only didn't second Visit Sunny Chernobyl because of availability. I wish it was more available since it sounds good.

Just a wee bit ready. :p On the other hand, maybe I should just go with the flow. See this post.

Duplicate deleted. Sheesh!

I know how you feel WT Sharpe. My Kindle Fire has auto correct and if I'm not careful while typing on it it 'corrects' my words and puts a word that I don't intend in place of a word I did want. I guess we know which book won. Always the second chance month for Lost Horizon I guess.

There was a price drop for West with the Night! $1.99 at Amazon and Kobo, and couponable at Kobo!

I find autocorrect never fails to change "to" to "too" except for those times when it would be grammatically correct. :D

The good news is that my PC has been repaired and is on its way back to the store where I bought it. I may have it back as soon as tomorrow night.
