Just got my new Kobo Aura HD - DELICIOUS SCREEN!

What a gorgeous screen. :):)

I'm not into hacking - I'm quite pleased with it.

WAIT: Did I mention that the screen is gorgeous?! :):)

--- When I get back to Peru, I have a Kobo Mini waiting for me.

Sorry to hear you're not liking it much! :D (Also wondering if he'll even tear himself away from it to read this!)

Dr. D, you're not supposed to lick it.

So, the Aura HD is a worthwhile upgrade from the Glo then?

booklover6 04-16-2014 11:16 AM

In my opinion, yes. I also feel the Aura (non-HD) is nicer than the Glo.

I absolutely agree that it is.

The Kobo Glo (which I also own) is also a nice Reader, but I personally prefer my Kindle paperwhite 2 over the Glo.

The Kobo Aura HD, however, just seems (to me) to be a more sophisticated device than the Glo (and I'm not talking soley about the screen; I thoroughly enjoy the larger size). I have absolutely no problems with the weight or with the plastic body.

I bought it with the full understanding that if I wanted to return it to Best Buy, that there would be no problem. I had never actually seen one until it arrived here at the house.

How long before we see the "Has anyone else had saliva damage with an Aura HD?" post? ;-)

Enjoy!

How does the screen on the Aura HD compare to the pw2? I love the pw2 screen because the fonts and covers appear tobe much darker than my glo.

Just curious.

And there I thought you might enjoy it... :D
The Aura HD surely has a crisp screen, hasn't it? I love how neat the characters are when I read on the Aura HD.

Spoiler:
I bet you'll also like the Mini, for completely different reasons

The screen on the Kobo Aura HD is sharper, while the fonts have better contrast [darker] on the PW2.

Reminder to other members: Please keep in mind that these are my opinions, and that they may not necessarily agree with your opinions.

I share your opinion, the Aura HD is simply the best screen I have ever beheld. I love the size, also, for reading at home. I take one of my smaller ereaders when I go out.
