Firmware 3.3.0 released!
 

Ladies and gentleman, I received the preview the next firmware update. I can't upload it since a Kobo developer sent it to me by a Wikileaks activist and he's taking a big risk... but I can reveal to you the main new features:

• an electromagnetic field that destroys any Kindle in a range of 2 miles
• new klingon-smurf dictionary
• interoperability with clay tablets
• fixed all bugs (okay, I exaggerated...)

I need to know if it has a Klingon/English translation dictionary.

Speaking as someone with the official 3.3 beta, it only has English/Klingon (no Klingon/English). The keyboard size required for Klingon input wasn't doable. :D:D

There is no keyboard input for Klingon, but you can use gesture control... Very Klingon!

Well that Kklingon dictionary will come in handy while reading Star Trek novels. :p

Something tells me this firmware will be pulled in less than 24 hours, better grab it quickly!

What revision version do you have? I've got 3.3.0.1259.

Can the electromagnetic field be adapted to provide a personal force field?

Of course. You can adjust it to zap any pest around your house. Read out in your garden without trouble!

I must have a different version up here in the Great White North, my build number is 3.3.0.HA.HA.0401.

I'm just waiting for the first post where someone inquires if Bat'leth related screen damage is covered under warranty...

Is the Kobo Mini covered if damaged by a meqleH? :)

Improper uses of your Kobo voids warranty. That includes x-rays, pointy ears and sideloading of alien nudities. Kirk, I'm talking to *you*.
