4.1.3 with a long build number

knc1 08-12-2016 03:08 AM

Now try that again please.

What is the error message?

What is the firmware version? include the details (actual characters) of: "a long build number".

We would not be asking just to waste your time, so don't waste ours.

This is a (cheap) used machine.
There is no way to know what has happened to it in the past.

Use KUBRICK (It is a 'sticky' thread here) on it to re-install a known good copy of the firmware.
(The image kubrick installs will already be jailbroken.)

Then try again.

Report results.

You have a K4, so there is no bridge to preserve the jailbreak/MKK through firmware updates.

But then again, you have a K4, so the updates are not full system updates and won't delete the jailbreak/MKK to begin with. :)

tl;dr
You should never have to reinstall MKK. Ever.
Unless you do a factory reset + firmware update on 5.x devices. But you are never supposed to perform a factory reset, like, ever, so that shouldn't be a problem even if you had one of those devices. So again, no.

i have firmware 3.4.2, jailbreak, usbNetwork and some other hacks on my kindle 3 wifi.
