A couple of Bibles are on sale at Amazon. This is kind of weird in that the sale prices look like they were set by the publisher, but nobody else is showing the lower prices.

The Orthodox Study Bible is interesting to me because the Old Testament is a translation of the Septuagint. It uses the NKJV in the places that the Septuagint matches the Masoretic text, making comparisons between a standard NKJV and the Septuagint relatively easy.

For example, in the NKJV Genesis 46:27 reads:

I would have preferred a different translation than the NKJV, but it's a cool resource nonetheless.

The Books of the Bible is $4.99 at Amazon. It's regular price ($16.99) everywhere else. Be careful if you're looking, because the edition that just contains the New Testament is also $4.99 (so both are the same price at Amazon right now). Make sure you're getting the one you want. In case you aren't familiar with The Books of the Bible, it's basically the NIV formatted to be read like a regular book. There are no chapter or verse numbers, no footnotes and no section headings.

The Message Bible by Eugene Peterson is $3.06 at Amazon. This is the lowest price I've seen for The Message.
