Create TOC based on physical files

I have an ePub where each physical XHTML file corresponds roughly to a chapter. The book has no toc Is there a way to create a toc based simply on the files?

Yes, use the Edit TOC feature of calibre. One of the options is to generate TOC from files, see attached. You may have to go to Preferences - Toolbar to add this feature to the menu or toolbar of your choice.

Thank you. The feature had to be added to a menu or toolbar. That's why I did not see it.
