[Feature Request] Adding Books: Option to guess ISBN
 

Hi,

I would like Adding Books to have an option to "guess" ISBN from book metadata.

The logic could go like this:
If the option is selected and the book doesn't already have valid ISBN metadata, check if one of the TAGS is a valid ISBN (for a PDF file example, in the Keywords) and use that as book ISBN.

Can this feature be done easily?

P.S. Calibre is one of the best software I've ever used.

Have you tried using the Extract ISBN plugin on one of the books in question ?

I have been using Extract ISBN plugin for quite a while now.
Unfortunately, the plugin only looks at the book content, not the metadata.
So it will not be able to extract the ISBN from the Keywords metadata in PDF files, for example.

You could make a request in the Extract ISBN plugin thread to ask Kiwidude if the plugin could look into PDF keywords.
