[Official Biography - courtesy of Wikipedia]

David Herbert Richards Lawrence (11 September 1885 – 2 March 1930) was an English novelist, poet, playwright, essayist, literary critic and painter who published as D. H. Lawrence. His collected works represent an extended reflection upon the dehumanising effects of modernity and industrialisation. In them, Lawrence confronts issues relating to emotional health and vitality, spontaneity, and instinct.

[Unofficial Biography - courtesy of me]

D. H. Lawrence is probably best known today for his novels, in particular Lady Chatterly's Lover and the ridiculous 'obscenity' court case in the UK in 1960. For me personally, however, Lawrence's best work is in his short stories and in his poetry (which I will be posting some of soon). Where it becomes easy to see that the 'love wand' image of highbrow pornography is a gross mischaracterisation of his work.

I have been unable to find any good quality epubs of these collections, so I've had a go at putting some together myself. I hope others will find them of interest.

[This Collection]

This book contains the following short stories:

THE PRUSSIAN OFFICER

A FRAGMENT OF STAINED GLASS

THE SHADES OF SPRING

SECOND BEST

THE SHADOW IN THE ROSE GARDEN

GOOSE FAIR

THE WHITE STOCKING

ODOUR OF CHRYSANTHEMUMS

It was originally a Project Gutenberg Australia text that I've smartened up, added a TOC and cover, and improved the structure of the epub.
