Free book (nook) - Fatal Judgment [Christian Thriller/Suspense w/Romance]

Fatal Judgment, 1st in the Guardians of Justice series by Irene Hannon, is an investigate thriller/suspense (w/ strong romantic subplot stated in the synopsis), free courtesy of one of Christian publisher Baker's imprints.

Currently free from B&N as this week's Free Friday.

(ETA: Now a repeat freebie from B&N (newly free in the UK), and also free from Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians) & ChristianBook (ADE-DRM ePub available worldwide).)

Since Baker rotates their freebies on a monthly basis and often puts them out to all the stores, this will likely also show up Amazon, Sony, and perhaps Kobo once October officially begins.

Description
U.S. Marshal Jake Taylor has seen plenty of action during his years in law enforcement. But he'd rather go back to Iraq than face his next assignment: protection detail for federal judge Liz Michaels. His feelings toward the coldhearted workaholic haven't warmed in the five years since she drove her husband--and Jake's best friend--to despair . . . and possible suicide.

As the danger mounts and Jake gets to know Liz better, he's forced to revise his opinion of her. And when it becomes clear that an unknown enemy may want her dead, the stakes are raised. Because now both her life--and his heart--are in danger.

Full of suspense and romance, Fatal Judgment launches a thrilling series featuring three siblings bound by blood and a passion for justice.

:thanks:

I've read this one (and the 2nd in the series) already but I got them both from the library. I love Irene Hannon's books :)

If you're curious as to what kind of e-book reading Hannon herself recommends, one of the nice features of B&N's new Free Fridays format is that they ask the featured author to recommend something s/he enjoyed and would recommend other people read.

You can see Hannon's recommended book and comments in the original B&N announcement post here.

I think I own every book in that post.

Thanks! - I like the idea of author recs. I've only read one book by Dee Henderson but it was quite good so The Guardian seems to me a solid recommendation.
