Pen examples
I am undecided which replacement pen to get and wondered if those that who have after market devices would post an example of what the stock stylus looks like compared to the replacement.
Use the phrase 'A quick brown fox jumped over the lazy white dog.' :cool: |
There is really no discernible difference in the writing, just in the way the pen feels in your hand and the ease of writing.

I agree with Cheyenne. Although I would say that if you want the feeling of writing with a finer-tipped pen, then the Motion L-series pen (which I also have) would give you that sensation (compared to the pen that comes with the eDGe). But as you can see from Cheyenne's sample, the actual thickness of the script would depend not on the tip of the pen but on the eDGe setting that you use.

Many thanks. Other than the ability to hold the pen, does it allow better writing? The screen seems too slick for the default stylus, thus making my writing quite messy.

'...feel...'
As in less slick on the screen? |
I have a screen protector on the reader side, made for the Kindle DX, the screen is a bit less slick that way. The pens make no difference, but the stylus that comes with the edge scratched my screens in short order.
|
Does the screen protector make the eInk screen less readable?
|
No difference.

@Hopi This be the one; http://www.amazon.com/ADD-DIGITIZER-...3383138&sr=8-1 Sample: members.cox.net/mustang31859/DefaultStylus.pdf |
That looks like it, except I have the one with no eraser - since the eraser is not functional on the edge. I bought it direct from Motion Computing.

@cheyennedonna
Which screen protector? The ones I looked at on Amazon said they were all junk. |
