Add Header/Footer
Hi All.
My name is Joni and I am new here and to the use of Calibre. I've tried looking various areas both in the user manual and here in the forums, but no luck so far. I figure I must be looking in the wrong area. Here is what I am looking for: how do I add header and footer to the ebooks I create. I want to put the book title and author name on each page. Just like what you see with a book you find in the library or purchase at a bookstore. I would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks. ~Joni S. |
Most ebook formats don't support headers and footers. I'm not aware of Calibre being able to do this for any that do support it.

As ebooks support reflowing (except some formats, e.g. pdf), it isn't wise adding header/footer to them. I think what you need is a software or an ebook reader which supports displaying title/authors/page number(not exactly)/... as header/footer.

Many ebook readers already do this- I know mine does, so do the Sony ones, and I've noticed it on many screenshots. Focus on getting the metadata right and let the reading application take care of the rest.
