Hi!

Here is the second edition of "DictioLauncher 0.7b".

These are the new features:
Found explanations for your search word are now separated only after whole words.
The "Choose Dictionary" button lets you change the dictionary you use from the UI (your last choice is saved in "dict.dat"). I renamed dictionaries to three letters, so it is easier to change them.
Expressions that consist of several words (e.g. "New York") are displayed now completely in the "first" line; "space" can be input from keyboard (but is only visible between two other letters).
ATTENTION: This means that in your dictionary the search word HAS to have TWO SPACES before the explenation !!! Otherwise NO WORD will be found ...
ONLY FOR PRS505'ers: You can exchange the skin "skinMain505.png" with the one in folder "skin_landscape" to get keyboard letters rotated 90.

Here are the features from 0.5:
Dictionaries can be accessed without closing your current book: by inserting the SD card the launcher just "appears" and will "disappear" after use.
You can search for any word using the onscreen keyboard (use buttons 0 to 9).
    Get at different keyboard rows with "cursor-up/down".
    (It's enough to type the first letters of a word: the whole word will be displayed...)
    The "arrow" (right side) removes letters from your input word one-by-one.
DictioLauncher will check your input word against the first word of each line of your text file.
Search time varies from zero ("a...") to"quite some time" (> 3 s for "z" in a 12,000-lines-file).
The previous/next line (= word) will be displayed by pressing <page up/down> or <cursor left/right> (search restarted forward/backward).

=====================================================
Included are three example dictionary files (French, Italian, Spanish; from www.freedict.com).
BUT - you may use *ANY* text file you have/find (thesaurus, to-do-list, etc.); you have to make sure there are TWO SPACES after a search word.
Go and find dictionary files for any language you need!
Your text file should be saved as UTF-8. Sony PRS-500/5 seems to get a "hangover" if confronted with characters like , , or even (o-umlaut)...
(Also the eReader does *not* like "-, *, /" at the beginning of a line while searching your input .)
=====================================================

I was fascinated (after some diddling with Sudoku) by the abruptness of obelix' application's starting-up. (I had tried earlier to do a PDF-dictionary which worked quite well but required several page turns to get there and back!).

I'm working on the onscreen keyboard. I've got a version that produces special characters and more - but that's still being tested...
Time for "next/previous line" will be reduced by some sort of "caching" soon.
I think starting from SD cards draws on battery power, doesn't it?

Also I'd like to get the application into internal memory - but don't know how to get it started from there (- yet).

*** Any ideas ?!? *** Thanks for any hints...

(To install, extract the zip file and put "Sony Reader" onto your SD card (root).)
