Turn off Wi-Fi on PocketBook 902

I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off Wi-Fi on PocketBook 902?

I figure it should drain battery pretty quick with Wi-Fi on all the time. On my wife's Sony Reader turned on Wi-Fi shortens reading on a single battery charge 2 times.

by default it is turned off. If the green light is not constantly on then you're not online. If it is however turned on then there is also a symbol next to clock. I'm not sure how you turn this off on the 902 as on the 903 you just tap on it and disconnect.

However, I wrote a simple app to disconnect from wifi. Unzip attached file and put it somewhere on the device. There are two files: wifi-on and wifi-off.
Enjoy!

That's no what I asked.

The green light and the symbol near the clock both indicate active Wi-Fi connection. The question was is there a way to turn off the internal wi-fi adapter. There aren't much data regarding this topic on Internet. Mostly opinions are Bluetooth/WiFi adapters are always on.

I'm sorry, but it seems that I still don't understand you.
I'm pretty certain that there is not internet connectivity once you've executed my app called wifi-off.

If this is not what you've asked for could please be so kind and elaborate a bit on what you've actually asked?

Ok. Let's try again.

Is there a way to power down the wireless adapter in PocketBook.

For example, my ThinkPad notebook's wireless adapter can be turned on/off by a button switch. My wife's Sony Reader has a dedicated switch to turn it on/off. If the adapter is not turned off it drains battery even if there is no connection because it actively scans for available network etc. For example, Sony Reader manual says turned on wireless adapter (even if there is no connection) will shorten battery run between charges 2 times.

Is it clear now?

Configuration -> Connectivity -> Access to Network, Options are off,on,ask user.

Choose "off"
