Programs designed for USB drives

Jeremy Wagstaff's blog has a great entry with a list of programs that are designed to be run from USB flash drives. A valuable one (and one I think has been mentioned here before) is Portable Firefox. There are also IM programs (inc. a Trillian version), crypto, word processing, and even email. This is a great resource for students, travellers, and others who work from many different computers.

Nice list, thank you Ignatz. I am always carrying my e-mail client (Becky) around on a USB stick.

I actually turned the link up on RSS, but I'm embarrassed that I've forgotten who to attribute it to. I thought it was Engadget, but I can't find it there...

Another great *free* program that will run on a USB drive is 2xExplorer, a two-pane windows explorer replacement. The development on it has stopped, but it is still available and I highly recommend it.
