What sad and shocking news.
I didn't know Patricia well, but I always held her in the highest of esteems. She was kind, selfless, always helpful. She will be missed.
My deepest condolences to everyone she left behind.

I cannot express my sorrow at hearing this news. Patricia was always helpful and friendly with advice and never sarcastic or demeaning to a beginner.

My heart and prayers go out to her family and friends. I will miss her wit. Perhaps God has a special place for her to work on her books.

My heartfelt condolences to Patricia's family and friends.

I am sad to say that I never got to know Patricia, though even I felt her warm presence here on the Forums. I have always admired her dedication and the loving care she put into the books she shared.

She will be missed all the more because I never got the chance to tell her that.

If it is acceptable, I would like to ask my parish priest to say a requiem prayer for her.

My condolences for Patricia's passing to her partner and family, and her extended online family here.

Patricia provided me with some guidance when I posted my first book here. And I admire greatly the unbounded energy she found to create hand-crafted editions of many e-books here. True passion, burning as it did with her for words and e-books, is rarer than we believe and she certainly had it.

I am heartbroken to hear that she has passed away. Words we lay down in these forums are but ethereal threads to other souls in faraway places. There are some whose humanity resonates in their considerate replies to strangers, or selfless deeds to the community. If I could give her a million karma points, I would not hesitate, for she deserved them in this life and in the afterlife.

Patricia was always one of the people on MR that I would have liked to have met personally. With her gentle, unassuming touch she was always somehow part of the stable foundation of MR.

Zelda, thank you so much for telling us. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been, and still is for you.
