Ya ... if he wants to restrict redistribution in book ... ok, I think the thing he wants to restrict is someone making money out of it *and* he don't get a cut of it in the meantime.
![]() In which case, then he should not put it in the Creative Commons. It's kinda like certain FOSS software. It is ok for certain licenses to package such software and sell it as long as the source is bundled or is available on request etc. Not sure what licensing scheme is available to do what he wants though. |

Man, that's pretty low to print/sell something like this w/o the author getting a cut. At least with most illicit copies of ebooks out there, they are freely availble and not sold, so no one is profiting from it (though, theoretically the author looses money on potential purchasers).

I wonder if there's a version of the Creative Commons licensing that prevents this, or at least requires that anyone selling a physical book also provides instructions on how to get the free e-book.
