HTML Tags and CSS Selectors
Amazon's Kindle Publishing Guidelines state that KF8 supports HTML 5 and CSS 3. Are there any HTML tags or CSS selectors that should not be used (e.g., table)?

Here is a list of the new tags introduced in HTML5
You would probably use Audio And Video tags mostly.
As for CSS 3 you would probably want to familiar yourself with:
Text effects, 2d/3d transform, box shadow, border radius etc... you can have a go at CSS3 Introduction at w3schools to see what's new.

BTW, Kindles also support some selectors not listed in the publishing guidelines. For more information see this old post.
However, if you plan to submit your books to KDP, you may want to stick to the official list.

However, not all of those pseudoclasses are supported by the kindlegen's relatively limited CSS to HTML translation engine, so if you use any pseudoclasses that aren't on the supported list for any styles that should be applied to MOBI content, you're in for a world of hurt.
