A skinny little thing - I see they appear to have shaved about 30% off the weight of the 350 compared to the 300.

The 950 links don't have any details, probably since it's not available until later.

I'm curious about the 950's size/weight, since I was hoping the Touch would have at least WiFi

Yeah, just in time for my Birthday at the end of this month. How soon do you think they will be avaliable for purchase. I love the idea of being able to read in bright sunlight.

Teleread says:

The Daily Edition is actually lighter than the old Pocket Edition and all three are incredibly light given the solidity of the build.

Is this a left-over from PRS-300/PRS-600 specs or are they bringing back the LRX?

That is odd as you cannot authorize a reader now to handle LRX. And LRX is dead.

I don't think they will be selling them again, but they might as well support displaying them on the device, as it will cost next to nothing to include it--the software already exists, and I imagine the resource requirements for it are well within the spec of the new devices. Imagine if they did not include it--they might lose a few sales from existing Sony owners.

But it's useless to include LRX support. There is no way to authorize a reader to handle LRX. So even if you put LRX on a new Sony, it won't display.

I take a look at the screenshot for pocket edition, under the Paper-like "Display for Easy Reading" and "A Library of Books in One Device ", it seems like the ebook is still left justified.

It's kind of ridiculous, I know that Sony has the reputation to left their old device update behind, but this is supposed to be their new hope in ereader market, and yet they can not implement such a simple "feature"

edit: after watching the video from youtube, it seems that new sony reader able with fully justified epub (or the one demonstrated use lrf?)

For the epub format the justification depends on the styles in each ebook, so this could just have been an epub with the left justify style. I think we still need a definitive answer from a reviewer who knows what they are talking about: do the new devices obey the text-align style in epubs?

Also--have the annoying page numbers in the right margin finally gone?

Yeah, maybe that too, but it still kind of weird they show left-justified ebook in their site when most of all my epub (b&n and sony store) bought book has justify declaration in their css.

Could you post the link?
Here it is. Kind of small pic, but you can see that they're left justified.

The video AD shows full justification. Though strangely they don't show much of the screen, they mostly show people holding it.

Probably because the firmware is mostly unresponsive and clunky.

As far as justification, doing full justification well is actually rather difficult from a programmatic point of view because it requires substitution dictionaries, micro-spacing, etc. Even most browsers do it extremely poorly - usually with just very spacy lines.
