3.5 Million Kindles to be sold in 2010

Posting this for all those who've had to listen to stories of Kindles dying:
Click: http://www.newsweek.com/2010/07/26/read-on.html

Great article here, for those interested in the future of the Kindle. It appears to be far from dead, tripling its sales rate last month and more than doubling the number of Kindles out there this year.

Happy reading!

Here's some added context to that number.
(Note the estimates date to January.)

Basically the iPad launch has reduced the estimate by less than 14%.
(And, of course, added an undetermined amount of Kindle for iPad customers for Amazon.)

Certainly of all the e-reader / e-reader platforms, Kindle is the one with a future. (Others might have one as well, but Kindle is not in doubt.) Articles like this really make you wonder what the heck is up at Sony. As in ... not much. Such a pity since they (effectively) kick-started the industry.
