Thanks for the heads up. I've never heard of Repairman Jack either, but it looks like an interesting read.

It is a "novella" -- 15,000 words vs his usual 90,000 word novels. It's positioned as a good introduction to "Jack". He has several novels on Amazon as well, but at higher price (in Canada, at least, due to Whispernet). These sorts of "free/low cost" introductions of self-contained novellas strike me as a brilliant way for an author to promote his/her work. A free chapter or two is nice too ... but something self-contained is potentially even better.

^^ What they said! ^^
I've got a friend who's been after me to read the Repairman Jack series, too. I'm looking forward to reading this.

There are also a couple of young adult novels about Repairman Jack as a teen. From what I have heard, they are a good introduction to the series for younger readers. And maybe for adults as well.

“How to Write the First 3 Paragraphs of YOUR Indie Novel” - by Max Waxwelp 1) Always write 3 sentences of exposition; 2) now create some dialogue, preferably no more than 2 sentences; and 3) make certain the dialogue is either inane or humorous. Example: “Bob, I did not know you wore yellow suspenders,” Sally remarked. “Gee, Sally, those are not suspenders. I am wearing yellow underwear today,” Bob revealed. The dialogue above will help produce at least 100 more pages of dialogue. |

Repairman Jack is great. I think there are about 10-12 RJ novels.

Bob The Zombie and I are both reading this, and it is very entertaining.
If you like your horror with a touch of perversion, then I can recommend it. -- Again, only half-way through it. (Bob is trying to eat the ebookieuse, so I had to take it away from him. Was that wrong?) ![]() Don

Don't know about RJ novels, but I loved The Keep. My favorite book by him.
