That is a pretty impressive improvement.

A good bit of improvement, but I though that the tech was meant to have a whiter background.

, require special care to look good in photographs. But if you just compare the difference between the screens you can see it's a pretty big improvement.

Honestly, it's just an OK improvement. Still looks like a pretty gray "pearl."

Many thanks for posting it here. The difference does seem pretty noticeable. I'm really curious to see how it looks in a close macro...if the capsules are the same size and if they're more consistent than in the older Vizplex. Too bad the resolution hasn't improved, but baby steps are better than no steps.

Thanks for the pics. Looking at the video I wonder if Amazon has tweaked their font rendering again to improve the outlines, though there's certainly an increased basic contrast.
Would be nice to get some numbers - just need to light the machines under controlled conditions and take some shots with the same exposure. |

Picture Comparison
Used the comparison picture and cropped the KDX on the left and the KDXG on the right. The dark bezel makes a difference in perceived contrast.

![]() ![]() I'm not sure, but I'd really like to see the difference with both screens having the white housing. This looks a little too much like a contrast issue (i.e. the contrast between the white shell and screen emphasizes the grey of the screen.) There's probably some improvement, but photography hocus-pocus appears to be making the difference appear greater than it really is.

Even so, it's pretty apparent that the contrast has been improved somewhat. |

The text on the right is certainly darker and has sharper edges.

Although that photo isn't the greatest (blurry, uneven lighting?) you can definitely see a difference. Are the Pearl screens the same resolution as the Viziplex ones?
