Jailbreak and custom Apps question

I'm playing with the thought to buy one of the new black Kindle DX but I need epub, chm and/or djvu support.

There seems to be a jailbreak and some small custom adjust points. Somebody seems to have a running Debian system.

Is there a FBReader for the Kindle DX? How's the hobby programming scene for the Kindle DX?
