Scan Tailor - autmatische Nachbearbeitung von Bücherscans

Als ich letztens wieder einmal vor dem Problem stand doppelseitige Scans zu schneiden, auszurichten und für das OCR aufzubereiten bin ich auf ein feines, kleines und freies Programm gestoßen: Scan Tailor. Einige kennen es evtl. bereits aber mir war es bisher total unbekannt.

Das Programm erkennt zuverlässig ob es sich um ein- oder zweiseitige Scans handelt, trennt die Seiten, dreht den Inhalt, schneidet die Seiten zu, filtert Hintergrundverunreinigungen heraus und konvertiert die Scans in S/W-Images für das OCR.

Natürlich kann man auch manuell eingreifen aber die automatischen Werkzeuge sind ziemlich gut und das Resultat kann sich meistens echt sehen lassen.

Fazit: Ein einfaches, gutes Werkzeug für Hobbyscanner, denen die Profi-Ausrüstung fehlt.

Super.
Gibt es aber leider noch nicht für meinen Mac.

Ich habe eine Frage zu Scantailor:

Wenn man die Bücher beim Scannen nicht ganz flach drückt, entsteht eine Wölbung an der Buchfalz. Ist Scantailor in der Lage, diese Wölbung herauszurechnen, oder gibt es vielleicht andere, bessere Programme, die so etwas machen ?
