Also, please note that if you bought your nook within the past 2 weeks, they are honoring this deal. I called and got mine, with no hassle. Just make sure you have your receipt handy, as they will need info from it to confirm the purchase.

I believe someone (in another Thread) mentioned that a couple of new nooks are coming out. Perhaps they're trying to lower their existing inventory.....?

Seems to me they want to be competitive with the Sony Touch Edition which is now going for around $200.

I've seen at least one ereader announced that will support the B&N store (which means B&N's proprietary DRM, so it must be a sanctioned/licensed reader). No one in the local B&N store, however, has heard anything about it (although they have heard of the Que, which seems further and further away).

Although there is no indication on the offer site (which actually says "limited time, while supplies last"), the original emails sent out about this all said it was valid until the end of June.

Yes, you can go into your local store and get the giftcard as well, just take in the receipt from the 14th on...

On another board someone posted they'd got the gift card even though they'd purchased their nook almost 3 weeks prior to the offer. So if you're within a reasonable range of 2 weeks it's worth trying for the card.

Its a good offer. It and the 1.3 firmware finally got me to buy a nook. The nice thing too was they charge you $209 for the nook so you get the giftcard and save a few more dollars in sales tax charges.
