Black line bottom and right side

I have a black line on the bottom just above the status bar and also one on the right side of the screen. I know it's normal because I've seen many pictures from Reader that had it also. My question is if there is a way that it won't show up?

Hey! I just noticed that on mine! Guess it doesn't bother me since I hadn't notice it before.

It was the first thing that I noticed.

I just figured it was an attempt to further look like paper with a stack of pages.

Could be indeed but I wouldn't mind if they would take it out.

Looks like an intentional "drop-shadow" effect.

Get a white photo and a black photo. Bring them up. See if those lines remain.
