What's with Ade
The file looks great in Sigil. What have I done or failed to have done? Thanks

You have at least one error in main.css: no closing parenthesis on the last item.
I now see pictures from the list of illustrations.

Yeah, ADE can't handle syntax errors in the CSS. That's probably a good thing...

Can Sigil be made to also not handle errors in the CSS?

However, the Style Sheet does not address the centering of images. There is something else there that I've yet to find.

Code:
text-align: center But it is simple with Sigil Click on the Image Click the "Center Text" button click some other text ( my paranoid from an earlier bug) Save Done BTW all the Illustrations appear centered in Sigil viewer

One solution
The only thing I could figure was that ADE did not like the CSS taken from the HTML file. Rather than extracting the Style Sheet from the HTML and saving it as main.css, I created my own dummy css with only a comment included and then loaded Sigil. The file came up with no formatting.
I then loaded the following statements one at a time, testing with ADE after every entry. Code:
body{
margin-left: 15px; margin-right: 15px;
}
p {
margin: 0; padding: 0 0 5px 0; text-indent: 1.5em;
}
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
margin: 0; padding: 0 0 5px 0; text-align: center;
}
a:link {
COLOR: #000000;
}

No. The Book View is QtWebKit, and I can't make it "dumber".

How about writing a CSS validator?

Down the road as part of a general epub validating library, sure.
But it's not a trivial matter. |

One of the biggest issues with CSS and ADE is a missing ;. Could you (for now) just check for a missing ; and maybe missing {}? That would cat most errors that are not obvious.
