as most of you probably know, my name is Alexander Turcic. As the affix of my surname suggests, I have Croatian roots. -ic is pronounced -ich, like ch in English chug. But that is only half true. My other part is from Germany. That would be my mom.
I am 29 years old, and I currently live in Lucerne, Switzerland. I work as an analyst in a small finance company. Before, I've lived for four years in Manhattan, NY, where I spent most of my time lazying around as a college student. It was without exaggeration the best time of my life!
I have a girlfriend whom I met in NYC in my college time. She currently lives with her sister in Chicago.
If you ever plan to visit Europe, there are three places I definitely recommend you to visit: 1. Munich, Germany - 2. Zurich, Switzerland - 3. Dubrovnik, Croatia. I could probably write books about each place and its beauty. Dubrovnik is probably new to you. I own dubrovnik.org and from time to time I post external news articles about Dubrovnik on this page. Have a look if you are interested.
Mobileread.com was previous Turcic.com. For various reasons I decided to make the big step forward changing the site to Mobileread.com. One was obviously the brand name effect. Turcic.com simply doesn't ring a bell for most people. Another reason was that I wanted to keep my surname available again for more private matters. So here we have Mobileread.com now. In future, my biggest wish is to develop a community where people love to ask questions, to give answers, and to participate in discussions. I am aware that currently we are still far away from this goal. But together, I am positive, we can reach it.
Anyways, enough blub of myself. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.
