Request: Adding linebreaks in sidebar window.

Hi,
The sidebar window where you can see the cover and comments is really useful. The text is however one long line. It would be nice if it was possible to add hard linebreaks directly in the sidebar window.

You can add linebreaks in the "Edit Meta information" window by placing the html tag <br>, but this a little cumbersome if you have to edit a lot of comments.

Yes I mean the panel in the bottom of the main GUI. If you click in this panel then a new window opens. That is the window I call the "sidebar window" in lack of a better name. I would like to add "hard linebreaks" in that window. It has absolutely nothing to do with DRM removal!
When I browse my collection, then I use the "sidebar window", and it would be nice to have a few formatting options with long comments.

When I was working on the merge record code, I noticed that breaks that appear in the comments area of the edit metadata screen are stripped from the windows you refer to. (I was concatenating comments during a merge record operation and was trying to figure out the break separator.) Your comment reminds me I didn't clean that part of the code up, and I'm posting partly so Kovid will look at the separator (he said he'd be looking at my proposed code) in light of whatever he may do regarding this thread. (I think I temporarily stuck a /r between concatenated comments.)

You're looking at Kovid's standard signature - it has nothing to do with you

Adding support for formatting of comments is on the todo list.

Thanks for all replies. I am sorry about not recognising the standard signature.
