Anyone else get this email from Amazon about using Calibre?
I got this email from Amazon with a title of "Alert from Amazon DTP". It seems like little more than a dirty business type letter trying to get me to use something other than Calibre to produce self-published books for the Kindle store.

poor Amazon. They see the walls on their walled garden crumbling. So they resort to FUD, standard corporate tactic.
Thanks for sharing.
For those that don't know what FUD is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_u...inty_and_doubt

I think this is a case of Amazon getting fed up with Calibre running rings around its own tools. Some of its ePub to MOBI conversions are pathetic.
If Amazon does extend the MOBI format for the Kindle, are they really going to release a new version of MobiPocket Creator (last updated two years ago)? In any case, I'm sure that Calibre will be able to track the changes if this does ever happen.
