ePub to PDB (eReader) failing miserably

I am trying to convert an ePub file to PDB and it fails big time with the latest Calibre.

even without --remove-paragraph-spacing it's failing.

Your epub file has a toc.ncx with non integral values for playOrder

Thanks. That fixed it. Now I have a different problem. The detected ToC doesn't work. No ToC is generated.'

Also, using --remove-paragraph-spacing doesn't work. It does remove the extra paragraph spaces put in, but it also removes ALL the spaces. And not all the indents are correct. Can the PDB output please be fixed so the output looks like the input?
