Jetbook/Libre - 32MB or 64MB?

To my surprise I found in the diagnostic mode that my Libre is equipped with 64MB system memory. I always thought it would be 32MB. Is it a norm for all the Libre/Jetbook to have 64MB on board or just the more recent batches? Can anyone testify?

Anyway, I am now even happier with my Libre since it can open a big pdf book of mine (58MB) with ease and navigate within it in a reasonable speed. My Astak EZreader often hangs when it comes to flipping pages in this huge pdf file.

Memory

If you go to the main panel and select 'Settings'
then 'System Settings'
then 'Memory Capacity'

My standard jetbook tells me it has 112.1 megabytes built in

I'm talking about the system memory, not storage memory. You won't see that in main panel. You can try getting into the diagnostic mode, then click "display info". You'll see a very dark screen with faint white fonts on it. You'll see the system memory info there, right below the CPU info.

The system memory (SDRAM) is to do with the computing power of the reader, whereas the storage memory functions as the harddisk of the reader.

Wow, you actually took it apart and looked inside? That's awesome. Is the RAM user replaceable? If so, that would be so nice.

BTW, when did you buy your Jetbook?

Hello,

How do I get into the diagnostic mode that is mentioned here? I have a jetBook running firmware 0.33g.

Thanks!

1. Shut down the reader totally, or press the reset button at the back.

2. Press and hold down both the menu and zoom buttons, then power up the reader. That means you need to press and hold down three buttons at the same time for a few seconds.

My Aluratek Libre also has 112.1 MB of memory capacity. This is without any SD card installed.

Mine too. I'm talking about SDRAM here, not storage. Sorry to confuse you guys.
