Silliness Lefty and Hugo: Waiting for Neko

Overheard in an apartment in Paris, Saturday evening:

"Hugo?"

"Yes, Lefty?"

"I thought Neko was coming to visit us."

"That was the plan."

"Well... where is she? Did she get lost? I thought she had those smart socks?"

"Maybe she didn't listen to them."

"Oh."

...

"Hugo?"

"Yes, Lefty?"

"Does that mean we won't get to meet the smart socks?"

<Hugo smiles, thinking of Marguerite and Cosette, those incredibly brainy-- and very warm-- chaussettes>

"Oh, I think we'll get to meet them."

(Rummages around in drawer) I think I left psockpuppet in here the last time...

Anyway, Hugo and Lefty should get along like a house afire with Margerite and Cossette. Lots of people running around and screaming...

When you see them, remind them they have some scenes coming up in the H&V saga.

Cosette was hopping about the apartment. "Come on, Lefty, there's an expo on l'histoire des fabriques!"

"Er... what?" Lefty often found himself feeling rather disoriented when Cosette was around. Which had been pretty much constantly since Neko had dropped them off in Paris.

"You know, spinning, weaving... and knitting." Cosette winked and nudged Lefty. She'd been doing that a lot lately. Something to do with wanting to teach him to knit, and les petit chausettes.

Lefty cast a desperate look at Hugo, but he only shrugged unhelpfully. Marguerite was lost in a volume of the Journal de Chausiologie. There seemed to be nothing to do but to follow Cosette under the apartment door and down the stairs....

Well, it all depends on how long Hugo and Lefty keep the director waiting. If they don't show, we can't have their episode, can we??

It's not Lefty's fault-- Cosette keeps dragging him off to see exhibits of fiber arts around Paris and the surrounding countryside! And now she wants him to go with her to this spa: http://www.renaissancedyeing.com/
