He's been away on a top secret mission. Fortunately this has now been de-classified to a level that those with MobileRead clearance may know some of the details.

Approximately one month ago, Queen Z and Marc contacted Slite for an infiltration and replacement operation. It appeared that DGma's sticks were no longer being supplied from the usual source (a front for Montsnmags Enterprises), but now from another organisation, the details of which were shrouded in hidden shell companies and dead-end paper chases. Marc was, without DGma's knowledge, to secretly capture the exact details of her new sticks, replace them with Montsmags Enterprises duplicates, and bring the originals back for study. (There was some concern she might have been compromised, so it was not considered appropriate to simply ask her.)

This first stage was easily accomplished, and the subsequent technical studies showed that the new sticks had multiple functions, including owner tracking, hypnosomulent meme insertion and subconscious ZCD aversion trigger insertions. Clearly neither Queen Z nor Marc could let this rest at this point. From studies of the sticks, it became possible to break the communication and control network used, and identify numerous other personelle who had had various items replicated, replaced or added that contained equivalent functionality, almost all of which have now been neutralised thanks to Slite's extensive work.

However, for some time the actual source of these devices remained unclear (as, to this day, does the precise details of the memes they were to insert into their owners). However, Slite uncovered enough to identify at least one key player in this plot.

It appears that The Laddy, of Pshyrnk fame, was acting as a key channel for the control of these players. Confronted, Slite persuaded The Laddy to engage in a debriefing operation. (Slite has a very persuasive grin, as Evil-Marc found out after I started suffering from pre-traumatic event movement incapacitation and Sly was knock unconscious at the end of the unfortunate event that started with the tipper load of squirrels and the bunker.)
