I had a fantastic dream last night.

Just like an action movie. There were guys in black chasing us by cars. Someone in the team got hurt. I was keeping something super important, then we parted way and I was on my own. The bad guys and I were flying down several stories, riding motorbikes! And then, leaving bikes, we blended in the crowds... Exhilarating

My first Pear Cider for yonks.

My 10 yo daughter used that expression earlier today (not the Cider bit ), then turned round and asked me what a "yonk" was. I've no idea, maybe some research is in order...

Nothing in my cup, but a quick bit of research turns up that "nobody knows". It seems to have originated in the 1950s, possibly in the UK military. But there's no documentation on its origin.

I had no idea it was so recent.

My research threw up two possibilities. Some kind of contraction of years, months, weeks or, and this sounds more likely to me, in some way formed from the phrase "donkey's years".

As pdurrant says though, these are speculations and nobody seems to really know.

Dogs usally wide open spaces. Lots of stuff to sniff, and places to run. Water can go either way with dogs. Mine is fine as long as his belly does not get wet.
